TIPS FOR HOLIDAYS IN SICILY

TIPS FOR BEACHES AND MOST BEAUTIFUL AND INTERESTING PLACES OF SICILY

EN

Hi everybody,

Like a good Sicilian, I can’t start writing on my blog talking about anything else, Sicily, however, is one of the most beautiful and fascinating islands in the world and i’m sure at least once time in your life you’ve thought come here for holidays. The most common question is: is it really worth to do holidays in Sicily? Let’s see it together!

First of all, starting from the climate there is no doubt that the best season to enjoy the shining sun of the south is just summer. In this season you can relax on the shore of hundreds of beaches that Sicily offers, from the fine golden sand beach of Palermo to the pebble beaches of Messina, but not only among the most beautiful beaches of Sicily you can choose one of Ragusa or Catania . The breathtaking scenery of Sicily will make you relax and immerse in the typical Sicilian culture, leaving you abandon the fast and stressful rhythms of the big city. Here you can admire and appreciate what of most beautiful nature has given us, between the sea of an intense blue, the green of the groves, the yellow of the wheat of which Sicily is rich and the infinity of the colors of which the landscapes are rich.

For lovers of culture know that Sicily is the region with the highest number of UNESCO sites of the southern Italy, they’re seven: The Dorici Temples of Agrigento, Villa Romana del Casale, at the feet of Monte Mangone, The Aeolian Islands, The late Baroque cities of Val di Noto, Syracuse and the Pantheon Necropolis, Mount Etna, and finally The Palermo Arabo-Normanna  with the cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale.

If what you are looking for is pure fun, the Catania’s nightlife is what you are looking for, all over in the Catania’s province you can find night clubs of all kinds from pubs to discotequess, open every night, very interesting is the Movida of Palermo with affordable prices even on drinks. Instead talking about food, Sicilian holidays will be surely among the better that you’ll do, especially for the quality of the ingredients used in cooking and local dishes. Sicily is full of renowned restaurants where you can taste typical Sicilian dishes, if you love fish and ricotta (cottage cheese) you are in the right place !!

No less important is the place where you will stay, in particular there are some hotels at four and five stars, instead plentiful are B&B and hotels with one, two, or three stars. The quality and the services obviously depend on the accommodation that you choose, but in general you will spend a lot less than Northern Italy. Many are hotels on the seashore, so for those who like to wake up in the morning with background of the sea on the window, i recommend to stay in seaside resorts, but be careful to the prices a little higher. I’d like to recommend this site web to make booking online, it’s safe and awesome, i always used it and i have to admit it’s really easy to book with this site !!

Now answering the question of before, is it worth to do holidays in Sicily? The answer is YES, tell me what you think it, commenting by here at the bottom !
